On June 17, Lt. Governor Tim Murray had the honor of delivering the historic Bunker Hill Oration, an annual tradition started in 1825 by Daniel Webster to mark and honor the battle of Bunker and Breeds hills, the first major battle of the American Revolution.

Tim Murray spoke at the Democratic State Convention in Lowell, urging party unity for the presidential campaign and detailing some of the accomplishments of the Patrick-Murray administration's first year and a half in office.

As Chairman of the Governor's Council to Address Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence, Tim Murray is leading the administration's efforts to respond to the growing incidence of domestic violence and sexual assaults in Massachusetts.

As part of that work, the state recently issued a Public Health Advisory on domestic violence.
