The Patrick-Murray Administration's Life Sciences Initiative is a landmark proposal that will create thousands of new jobs and accelerate research for cures of devastating diseases.

In January, Lt. Governor Tim Murray delivered the keynote address at the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council's annual policy luncheon, calling for swift action on the Life Sciences Initiative.

"If we are both aggressive and wise, I believe that in 10 years time we will look back on this moment and mark it as the beginning of a revolution in medicine that eased the suffering of people around the world," said Lt. Gov. Murray.
