Investing in Bay State Seaports

As chair of the Governor’s Seaport Advisory Council, Lt. Governor Tim Murray is working to help coastal communities improve and expand their maritime economies, which in turn benefits the Commonwealth as a whole. On April 2, the Seaport Advisory Council approved $8.2 million in grants for important programs that will help several communities, including Salem, Fall River, New Bedford, Newburyport, Fairhaven and Gloucester.
