Today, Lt. Gov. Tim Murray participated in an observation ceremony on the State House lawn to remember the victims, families, and those who bravely responded to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
Following the observation, a flag lowering ceremony was held for Massachusetts 9/11 victims.
Lt. Gov. Murray later posthumously honored Marie Conley, a crossing guard struck and killed while helping a child cross the street, as the recipient of the 8th Annual Madeline Amy Sweeney Award for Civilian Bravery. See the release.
