In November, Tim Murray led a delegation of state officials on a trip to the Canadian Province of Quebec to discuss regional cooperation on law enforcement, energy and transportation issues.

During the visit, Tim and Public Safety Secretary Kevin Burke, along with their counterparts in Quebec, signed a compact to enhance information sharing for law enforcement purposes.

On November 2, Governor Patrick signed into law a bill requiring Massachusetts to divest from its holdings in companies that do business with the Sudanese government. At the bill signing, Gov. Patrick acknowledged Tim's leadership role in pushing for the divestment bill.
